The peasant zacusca is traditionally made from the vegetables available in the household and is usually more filling, in order to offer the necessary energy intake to a lifestyle that requires more physical effort. Nowadays, the boundaries between town and village are no longer important, and the choice of recipe is a matter of taste. Just for the taste a combination of white beans, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, onions and spices defines this delicious zacusca.
